Leading of a small team to build the Emergency Needs Assessment Unit's Learning Management System, an all-encompassing solution to manage and deliver training to over 6,000 partners and staff across the organization's worldwide regional bureaus and offices.
Tasks
- Drafting of functional and technical documentation for the multi-prong solution.
- Analysis of existing IT infrastructure and policies.
- Evaluation of existing publicly available software and tools for leading workshop and giving evaluations.
- Set up a comprehensive online/offline workshop and testing solution infrastructure.
- Creation of a custom, state of the art online/offline e-learning and testing solution for critical remote locations to face their particular challenges: lower end computers, unreliable internet, intermittent power and factors which could bring training to an immediate halt such as political, environmental and food instability.
- Creation of an overarching extranet portal (Learning Repository)
- for facilitators to create workshops and courses, access tools and training materials, manage rosters, analyze test results and generate reports, and
- for learners to access available workshop, register, attend remote training, access materials, get scores and certification.
- Integration with the organization's intranet.
- Provide training to the various actors.
- Train peers on technical and functional innovations made during the development of the solution.
